Riveredge Nature Center is hosting its 7th Annual Sturgeon Fest event at Thiensville Village Park on Saturday, October 6, 2012. This fun family event includes food, fun activities for children, entertainment, a live reptile and amphibian presentation, vendor displays and presentations, and the opportunity for the public to release their own Lake Sturgeon into the Milwaukee River. In the past, the Potawatomi have performed a drumming ceremony and blessing of the sturgeon. They will be invited to participate again this year.
Sturgeon Fest will also host an arts and crafts exhibition area. Vendors who want to exhibit original art or craft work with a theme related to water, the environment and/or sustainability are invited to participate. The event is geared to families and approximately 700 adults and children attend each year.
Please see the links to the documents below for additional information and exhibitor eligibility requirements, or feel free to call/email Jennifer Hamm at 262-375-2715 / jennifer@riveredge.us. Once completed, please submit the forms to Jennifer via email or mail.
Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Hamm
