Sustainability Tip of the Month
Resolve to...
Setting a New Year’s resolution this year? Make a resolution that is simple to keep and good for the environment. Each month read the Riveredge sustainability tip on our website and begin living a more eco-friendly lifestyle.
A little change can make a big difference. Think about how much toilet paper you and your family go through in a week. Now multiply that by fifty-two weeks and then multiply that number by the millions of families in the United States. Make a New Year’s resolution to switch to recycled toilet paper (and, no, don’t recycle your used toilet paper). The paper products used in regular toilet paper come from old forests. If every family in the United States traded one roll of regular toilet paper for a recycled roll, we would save thousands of trees. Imagine if everyone made the permanent switch to recycled toilet paper!
Go beyond just using recycled content toilet paper, and switch all your

paper items to recycled paper products. Office paper, gift wrap, packaging, and paper towel come in recycled content alternatives.
