SUMMER DAY ADVENTURES 2010
Looking for a great summer activity for your children’s group, day care, or scout group?
Check out Summer Day Adventures at Riveredge Nature Center. Enjoy a 1-1/2 hour educational program for 4 – 12 year olds led by a Riveredge Naturalist. Using our nature preserve and equipment, your group will experience the joys of exploring nature in the summer.

June 15 – August 13
Times:
Morning sessions begin no earlier than 9:00 am
Afternoon session ends no later than 3:00
Fees:
$4.50 per child
Minimum group fee is $45.00

IT IS A BUG’S LIFE
Get a close up look at the many amazin
g insects that inhabit Riveredge. Explore how bugs eat, fly, jump, and enrich our world. An art activity may be added to this session.
LIFE AROUND THE LILY PAD
Frogs, tadpoles, turtles, fish and nymphs await discovery. Explore how the pond is a wonderful hatchery for many fantastic creatures.
RIVER EXPLORATION (NEW)
Bring your old shoes to wade in the Milwaukee River and experience the river from a very different point of view. Explore the aquatic life and the many creatures that come to the river for food, shelter and water.
THE FOREST HOME (NEW)
The forest: the coolest place to be in the summer. Explore the world of trees and their inhabitants. Discover what lurks in our woods while being in the shade. Art activities can be added to this session.
Nature Journeys Summer Camp
